I am building a fiber blower of sorts. I want to utilize a nema 23 with TB6600 driver and Arduino Nano with a I2C 16x2 display. Should have 4 buttons with + , - , START ,STOP functions.
The device will work as follow. Nema connected to a wheel and another free spinning wheel on opposite side ,fiber cable will be inserted between them. On the LCD i would like to say 2000m length and hit start ,the motor should rotate feeding the cable through wheels for 2000m. However if i do not want to use a preselected length i can just hit start and it will feed until i select stop in this case it should still be measuring so once i hit stop it should be able to tell me how many meters has been pushed. Obviously i will need to calibrate this per cable thickness etc which is fine. I thought of using the code from an Arduino Electronic Miter but this will want to return to 0 every time.
