Farmhouse & Cottages Masterplan

I’m ready to commission a full architectural concept for a working farmhouse that also doubles as a welcoming retreat. The core building will serve day-to-day agricultural operations, yet I need it to flow seamlessly into spaces suited for the occasional event or family gathering. Key spatial requirements • A main farmhouse with an open, shared kitchen that overlooks the surrounding fields. • A generous communal lounge anchored by a fireplace; integrate a small bar counter so guests can socialise while meals are prepared. • Separate, self-contained quarters for on-site farm workers—practical, durable, and close to service areas. • Several cosy visitor cottages set a comfortable walking distance from the main house for short-stay guests. • Easy relationships between these zones via covered walkways or landscaped paths. Style direction I haven’t locked myself into one aesthetic. I’d like to review modern, rustic, and traditional schemes—whichever best marries rural charm with contemporary function—so present at least two contrasting concepts for comparison. Deliverables I expect 1. Concept sketches and mood boards showing each proposed style. 2. Scaled floor plans and basic elevations for the farmhouse, worker quarters, and guest cottages. 3. A 3D massing or rendered walkthrough to illustrate circulation, the shared kitchen–lounge hub, and the outdoor connections. 4. Final construction-ready drawings once a single concept is approved. Please confirm the software you prefer (Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, etc.) and your typical timeline from concept to permit-ready set.
