I’m building a web-based monitor that ingests Bloomberg FX volatility surface data for 52 currency pairs, scores each surface cross-sectionally, ranks today’s levels against the last two years of history, and then flags the best option structure to trade the signal. I already have a detailed functional document that I’ll share once we start; you will not need terminal access because the feed will arrive through a Bloomberg Server API/BPIPE connection that I control. The stack is set: Python with Django on the back-end. You’ll orchestrate the data pipeline, persist the snapshots, run the analytics layer (basic statistics, z-scores, percentiles, simple optimisation), and expose everything to the front-end in real-time. For live updates I’m open to WebSockets, Django Channels or any approach that keeps the dashboard reactive without constant page refreshes. On the interface side I need clean, customisable dashboards: users should be able to pin preferred currency pairs, tweak look-back windows, and view recommended structures at a glance. A charting library such as Plotly, Highcharts or TradingView JS is fine—pick the one you’re most comfortable with. Because the output influences trading decisions, accuracy and latency matter. You’ll be working closely with me (I’m on the trading desk) so a solid grasp of FX vanilla/vol terminology and comfort with light quantitative work is essential. Deliverables • Django project with modular app structure • Data connector that pulls, normalises and stores Bloomberg surface points in real-time • Analytics engine that generates scores, rankings and trade recommendations on demand • Responsive dashboard with real-time updates and user-driven layout customisation • Brief deployment guide (Docker or similar) plus unit tests covering core calculations Acceptance Criteria 1. A live web instance demonstrates sub-second refresh of new surface data. 2. Scores and rankings match my reference spreadsheet to within 0.01. 3. Dashboard widgets can be added, removed and rearranged via drag-and-drop. 4. Codebase passes all supplied tests and linting checks. If this fits your skill set in Django, quantitative finance and Bloomberg APIs, let’s talk and I’ll forward the full spec. Please quote in Indian Rupee

Hi. I can build the Django/Python pipeline, analytics engine and real-time FX volatility dashboard. My background includes Python data pipelines, statistical modelling, APIs, databases and interactive analytical reporting. The z-score, percentile, ranking and optimisation layer is straightforward; I would also build calculation tests directly against your reference spreadsheet so results remain within the required 0.01 tolerance. For the live layer, I can integrate the Bloomberg BPIPE/Server API feed you provide, persist historical surface snapshots, and push updates to the dashboard through WebSockets/Django Channels. The dashboard can support pinned pairs, configurable look-back periods, interactive charts and drag-and-drop widgets. Before finalising implementation, I would like to review the functional document and reference spreadsheet, particularly the exact surface fields and trade-structure recommendation rules.

Hi, I checked your "FX Volatility Dashboard Development" project description, it looks like the focus is on delivering a clean, responsive website that works well across all devices. I prefer understanding the expected layout and user experience first, then building pages that closely match the design while keeping the code organized and easy to maintain. Feel free to share the design or current website, and I'll suggest the best implementation along with a realistic timeline. Final timeline and cost will be confirmed in chat after a complete understanding and documentation of the project expectations in detail.

Your monitor already has 52 live surfaces, five smile points, two-year expanding percentiles, forward-aware strike conversion, and ranked structures, so I would treat this as a controlled migration and productisation effort rather than a greenfield quant build. I’d first lock down the current maths, add run identity, automate collection/history append, and protect the classifier path that previously allowed butterfly quotes to corrupt ATM levels silently. I’d implement Django + Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, Django Channels/WebSockets, Plotly, Docker and Nginx. The two priorities would be clean implementation and scalability: calculations must reproduce your spreadsheet to 0.01, while live updates remain sub-second without tying analytics directly to the UI request cycle. I’d preserve the existing analytics logic where validated, then migrate FastAPI/static-dashboard responsibilities into modular Django apps for ingestion, storage, scoring, structures, users and dashboards. The current roadmap items like run identity, scheduled collection, partial-day guards and surfacing hidden structure caveats would be addressed early. Relevant experience includes a live stock-market analysis platform using GDFL WebSocket APIs, real-time feeds and continuously updating trading dashboards. Estimated delivery: 10-12 weeks. Fixed-price estimate: ₹9,50,000 to ₹12,00,000, depending on Bloomberg/BPIPE integration depth and final UI scope.

==== Hi - Truong here ==== "REAL-TIME FX VOLATILITY SURFACE ANALYTICS" — you need Bloomberg surface points turned into accurate rankings and tradeable structure signals without dashboard lag. I’d separate the Bloomberg ingestion, snapshot storage, analytics engine, and dashboard updates so a slow chart or user action cannot block the data pipeline. For the two-year comparisons, I’d also make the z-score/percentile calculations deterministic and test them against your reference spreadsheet to keep the 0.01 acceptance threshold reproducible. Looking forward to work with you.

Hi, I have 10 years of experience in full-stack web development, with strong expertise in building scalable data-driven applications, REST APIs, dashboards, and real-time systems. For this project, I would structure the Django backend into modular data ingestion, persistence, analytics, and API layers, with PostgreSQL for efficient historical snapshot storage. I can implement the statistical calculations, z-scores, percentiles, ranking logic, and optimisation cleanly and expose them through well-designed APIs. For real-time updates, Django Channels/WebSockets would be a suitable approach, while a responsive React.js dashboard can handle customisable widgets and interactive charts. I’ll focus on accuracy, low latency, secure coding, test coverage, and maintainable architecture, with careful validation against your reference calculations. I’d be glad to discuss the technical approach and project details. Best regards

I'd start with the ingestion layer since everything downstream depends on getting clean BPIPE snapshots into Postgres before anything else makes sense. Django plus a scheduled pull against BPIPE, normalized into a snapshot table keyed on pair and timestamp, is the right shape for 52 pairs, it keeps the stats engine from ever touching raw feed data directly. The stats engine is where this lives or dies for you. I'd build it against your actual reference spreadsheet first, matching the z-score and percentile windows exactly on a handful of pairs before scaling to all 52, because a two year lookback with rolling recalculation is exactly the kind of thing that drifts silently from a spreadsheet's math if you build it from a description instead of the source. Once that reconciles I'd wire the ranking and the structure flagging off the same scored table so the dashboard is just reading pre-computed state, not recalculating on request. For the dashboard, Django Channels over a websocket means the drag-and-drop widgets update as new snapshots land rather than polling, which matters once you're watching 52 surfaces at once. M1, ingestion plus persisted BPIPE snapshots, 19800 INR, 6 days. M2, the stats engine reproducing your spreadsheet's z-score and percentile ranking, plus structure flagging, 21600 INR, 7 days. M3, the Channels dashboard with drag-and-drop layout and live updates, 18600 INR, 5 days. I've priced this off the brief as posted, the piece that could move it is how much of the option structure logic is a fixed rule set versus something that needs tuning against live market behavior. Send me the reference spreadsheet and I'll have a tighter number tomorrow.

**Available today and comfortable with the Django real time stack you need** Went through your spec, solid fit for me. I build Python/Django backends with real time layers using Django Channels or WebSockets, plus analytics work with z-scores, percentiles and pandas, and I can wire in a Bloomberg Server API/BPIPE feed on your side without needing terminal access. Recent work: built a Django dashboard for a trading desk client that ingested a live price feed and recalculated rankings sub-second, and a Plotly based analytics dashboard with drag and drop widgets for an ops team. Happy to start with the data connector and scoring engine first so you can validate against your reference spreadsheet early. Send over the functional doc and I'll get moving today.

Hi, Having gone through the build document, this is clearly a completion job on a working system, not a build from zero, so I'd scope against your actual "what still needs building" list. I built Crimson Risk, a scoring and ranking system from weighted factors, relevant to your cross-sectional scoring and tiering logic, though not Bloomberg or FX specific, worth being upfront about that. Priority items I'd tackle first, since you flagged them as prerequisites: a run identifier on every stored row so cross-table analytics can be joined at a defined moment, and the partial-day guard on the history store so a lost wing block can't silently freeze the percentile window with null shape metrics. Next: automating scheduled collection and history append, resolving the digital side-rule decision from 6.12, and surfacing the three already-computed but dropped API values (smile points, outstanding-requirements list, barrier explanation) into the dashboard. Extending the universe to the three uncollected pairs is configuration. Home-PC parity and the event calendar overlay I'd scope separately given size. The fitted continuous smile I'd want a longer conversation on before committing to an approach. Quick question: which of these is blocking you most right now? Talk soon, Mateen

Hello, I can build your FX volatility surface monitoring and option structure recommendation platform using Django and Python. My plan is to build the backend using Python and Django integrated with Django Channels and WebSockets to process incoming Bloomberg BPIPE data feeds in real time. I can structure database models to persist historical volatility surface snapshots and compute statistical metrics like z scores percentiles and cross sectional rankings using Pandas and NumPy. I can implement the analytics layer to evaluate option structures such as risk reversals and butterflies against current market signals. For the dashboard I can integrate Plotly JS or Highcharts to render interactive volatility curves and allow users to pin preferred currency pairs. In a past project I developed a Django and WebSockets financial dashboard that processed real time market feeds and rendered quantitative analytics charts. 1) How is the Bloomberg BPIPE data feed structured when delivered to the backend, such as via Python BLPAPI or custom socket wrappers? 2) What database engine like PostgreSQL or TimescaleDB do you prefer for storing two years of historical volatility surface snapshots? 3) Are the option structure recommendation rules based on explicit delta spreads or custom payoff criteria? Thanks, Bharat

Hi, I looked at your requirements and the key challenge is turning Bloomberg FX volatility surfaces into accurate, low-latency signals without losing consistency between live data, historical rankings and the reference calculations. I’d build the Django pipeline to normalize and persist snapshots, keep the analytics layer modular for z-scores, percentiles and optimisation, and stream results to a responsive Plotly-based dashboard with configurable widgets and lookbacks. I’d also isolate the calculation logic with unit tests so the 0.01 accuracy requirement is easy to validate. Quick questions: Q1. Will the Bloomberg connection expose surface points in a fixed schema, or should normalization handle multiple response formats? Q2. Should trade recommendations be recalculated on every new surface update or only when users request them? These clarify the live pipeline and calculation flow before implementation. I can deliver a clean, testable Django codebase with deployment documentation and real-time dashboard behavior. Fernando Garcia

Hi, This is a serious build, and I get what matters: accuracy and latency, because traders act on the output. Your spec is clear — Bloomberg surface data for 52 pairs in, cross-sectional scores and 2-year percentile rankings out, plus a recommended structure, all live in Django. My approach: • Modular Django apps: connector → normaliser → snapshot store → analytics → API → dashboard. • BPIPE/Server API feed ingested and persisted as time-series snapshots. • Analytics layer: z-scores, percentiles, ranking logic — unit-tested against your reference spreadsheet to the 0.01 tolerance. • Real-time layer via Django Channels/WebSockets for sub-second refresh. • Plotly dashboard with drag-and-drop widgets, pinnable pairs, adjustable look-back windows. I'm comfortable with FX vol terminology (vanillas, risk reversals, butterflies) and light quant work, and I'll keep communication tight since you're on the desk. I'd quote ₹[amount] for the full scope, with milestones. Happy to review the functional doc and start with a short call. Best, Sara
