"Stop-loss and take-profit linked to the parent": I use Dhan's super order legs where the instrument accepts them, and keep a local OCO state machine as fallback. If the broker rejects a leg, the stop still exists inside the bot and still fires. A stop that only exists on the happy path is not a stop. The option chain endpoint is rate limited, so the chain polls on a slow timer of its own while live quotes come off the websocket feed. Mixing those two is why these bots stall mid-session. I would quote the engine and the strategy separately. Auth, feed, execution, risk, logging and config are a fixed build; your logic drops into one module. Then the number does not move when the strategy turns out bigger than it looked. Sample before award: the connection layer running. Authenticated, subscribed, live ticks printing, and a forced reconnect so you watch it recover. Same budget: paper mode so you can test without real fills, a daily loss kill switch, and a systemd unit for the VPS. Amul
