Utility to Auto-correct image sizes in html
This project is for a simple utility to make changes to HTML files. Any programming language will do, so long as it works on Windows XP and later.
I have a group of HTML files, organized into several layers of directories and sub-directories.
Many of them have incorrect image sizes in the <IMG> tag.
This utility will scan through the folders (with a box to click to include sub-folders (or sub-directories). When it finds an image tag, it accesses the image file, reads the true dimensions and then changes the <IMG> dimensions to match the actual graphic size.
Here is an actual image tag:
<IMG SRC="../folder/[url removed, login to view]" WIDTH="100" HEIGHT="200" ALIGN="LEFT" BORDER="0">
In this case, the actual image is much larger. ONLY the numbers 100 and 200 would change. Nothing else changes, even when the image tag is more complicated:
<A HREF="[url removed, login to view]" target="_blank"><IMG SRC="../folder/[url removed, login to view]" WIDTH="100" HEIGHT="200" ALIGN="LEFT" ALT="This is an image text" BORDER="3" VSPACE="3"></A>
This utility will substitute the actual image size for the incorrect one in the image tag.
It should have the option to include sub-directories or not, and handle jpg, gif, png or bmp images. It must handle files that end in HTML and HTM.
This is an easy job for someone who knows how to use scripts that organize images, as well as find-and-replace scripts.
Completing the project will include submitting the source files.
I have posted projects in the past that got bids in the thousands, but were completed for just a few bucks. Please be competitive in your bidding.
