You are to download the Project Spacewalk zip file and expand it into a folder on your drive. Then you are to upload it to GitHub as a PRIVATE repository.
WARNING: USES VERSION 4.3.4 of Unity 3D! Download the correct version!
You are to:
o Create a PROTOTYPE of a second level of the solar system. (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, Uranus). These are not in the correct order - your prototype must be...
o This entails eight planets traveling around one sphere (sun). Each planet should travel around the sun at the same speed along their orbits. Because of the size of the individual orbit circumferences, the inner planets should appear to go faster.
o The sun should be bigger than the planets. Accurate scaling is not required.
o Color each planet a different color using simple Material. Rings, moons, spots, etc. are not necessary in this prototype. (Can you do this anyway?)
o Each planet should have a label stating its name.
o You should be able to "fly" to each planet or the sun and take a picture.
o WE MAY get these assets as DMST Animation projects from Dr. Anne Henry. You will be able to overlay your prototypes with "professional" assets.
o Create a "scripted task"
o The user task is 90 seconds long
o Should be to start at "Earth",
o Fly to and photograph "Mercury", [Hint: use guide_here01 on how to do this]
o Fly to and photograph "Saturn".
o Fly back to "Earth".
o Refactor the original scripts to include
o 1st level scene and 2nd level scene being able to be loaded independently for testing.
o User movement and photography tasks are refactored into a new class, so that the scene 1 and 2 scripts call the new class to "fly" and "photograph".
