I need an Android application that lets users sign in with their Google account, open the camera, scan the QR code printed on a waste-bin lid, and immediately store the decoded data in a local SQLite database (or another lightweight store you suggest) together with a timestamp and the signed-in user’s UID. No extra steps—scan, capture, save. Core flow I have in mind 1. Google Sign-In launches on first open and keeps the user authenticated across sessions. 2. Tap a Scan button to activate the device camera. 3. The QR code on the bin is recognised; no manual input required. 4. The app records the raw code string plus date, time, and user, then confirms successful storage on screen. 5. A simple history screen lets the user review past scans in list form, sortable by date. Deliverables • Full Android Studio project (Java or Kotlin) with source code • APK ready for direct installation • README describing build steps and how to change storage from local to remote if needed • Brief test video or screenshots proving Google sign-in, scan, and data recording work on a real device Acceptance criteria • Google authentication completes without crashing or looping. • QR scanning recognises standard 2D codes under normal indoor lighting. • Data from each scan appears instantly in the history list with correct metadata. • Reinstalling the app clears local records (expected) but sign-in and scanning still function. If you have experience with ML Kit, ZXing, or similar libraries for reliable QR detection, mention it when you respond, as solid camera performance is important to me.

Hi, I’ll build the Android app in Kotlin with persistent Google authentication, fast camera-based QR scanning and local Room/SQLite storage for each scan’s raw value, timestamp and signed-in user UID. I’ll keep the scan flow intentionally simple—open scanner, recognise the QR, save immediately and show confirmation—with duplicate/error handling around the camera and database flow. The history screen will display saved scans in a date-sortable list, while the storage layer will be structured so a remote API/backend can be introduced later without rebuilding the app. I’ll deliver the complete Android Studio source, installable APK, build/storage migration README and real-device screenshots or a short test video covering sign-in, scanning and saved history.

For this Android QR-scanning workflow, I’d keep the app deliberately simple: sign in once, tap Scan, capture the code, save it locally with timestamp + user UID, and show it immediately in history. I’d build it natively in Kotlin using Firebase Authentication for Google Sign-In, CameraX + ML Kit Barcode Scanning for QR detection, and Room over SQLite for local persistence. Room gives cleaner schema handling than raw SQLite while staying lightweight. Each successful scan would store the raw QR value, scannedAt timestamp, and Firebase UID in one transaction, then refresh the history list instantly. The two priorities would be clean implementation and user experience, so there are no unnecessary confirmation steps or manual input. I handle Android/mobile apps end-to-end, including authentication, camera workflows, local storage, testing, APK builds, and handover documentation. A relevant example is FileChannels, a mobile collaboration platform with authenticated users, role-aware access, file handling, real-time communication, and multi-platform workflows. I’d include the Android Studio project, installable APK, README, and real-device proof via screenshots/video.

Hi, I can build this as a lightweight native Android app in Kotlin with a very simple scan → save workflow. I’d use Google Sign-In for persistent authentication, CameraX + ML Kit Barcode Scanning for reliable QR detection, and Room/SQLite for local storage. Each successful scan would immediately save: • Raw QR value • Date and time • Signed-in user UID The user would receive instant confirmation, while a separate history screen would display previous scans with date-based sorting. I’d also protect against accidental duplicate reads caused by the camera detecting the same QR several times in succession. The project would be structured so local storage can later be replaced or supplemented with a remote API/Firebase backend without rewriting the scanning layer. I’ll provide the complete Android Studio source, installable APK, clear README, and real-device proof showing Google authentication, QR detection, and stored history working end-to-end. The implementation will prioritize fast camera response, clean lifecycle handling, and a minimal UI suitable for repeated field use.

Hi, UzeeTech can deliver this focused Android QR capture app with a clean, testable implementation. We have 9 years of mobile/software experience across Android Java/Kotlin, Google Sign-In, camera workflows, ML Kit/ZXing, SQLite and release-ready handover. I’ll implement persistent Google authentication, fast camera scanning for standard 2D QR codes, immediate local recording of raw code/timestamp/user UID, clear success/error states, and a date-sortable history screen. I’ll use a maintainable repository layer so local storage can later switch to a remote API, handle permissions and lifecycle safely, and provide the Android Studio project, APK, README and test evidence. I’ll test sign-in, scanning, metadata accuracy, reinstall behavior and common failure paths on a real device. Questions: 1. Do you prefer Kotlin or Java, and what minimum Android version/device range is required? 2. Should history support search, export or deletion, or only date sorting? 3. Do you already have Firebase/Google project configuration? 4. Which QR payload formats and duplicate-scan behavior should apply? I can start with authentication and scan-to-save, then deliver history and handover.

Hi, I hope you're doing well. I understand the app needs a simple, reliable scan-to-record workflow: Google authentication, camera-based QR detection, immediate local persistence, and a history view containing the decoded value, timestamp, and authenticated user UID. I would keep the architecture lightweight and separate authentication, scanning, and storage so the local database can later be replaced or extended with a remote API. For QR recognition, I would use a proven Android scanning approach such as ML Kit or ZXing, with appropriate camera lifecycle handling and validation to prevent duplicate or incomplete records. SQLite/Room would provide structured local storage, while the history screen would query and sort records efficiently by date. I can provide the complete Android Studio project, installable APK, README, and real-device testing evidence covering sign-in, scanning, persistence, and the requested reinstall behavior. Best regards, Mikhail

Hello, I understand you need an Android app where users sign in with Google, scan QR codes from waste-bin lids, and instantly save the decoded data with timestamp and user UID in local storage. The goal is to deliver a simple, reliable scan-to-save workflow with a clear scan history. Here’s what I can provide: Google Sign-In with persistent authentication across app sessions. Fast QR scanning using ML Kit/ZXing with automatic camera detection. SQLite-based local storage with QR data, timestamp, UID, and a sortable history screen. I bring over 4+ years of experience in Android, Kotlin, Java, SQLite, APIs, and mobile application development, with a strong focus on building reliable and user-friendly applications. I’ve worked on authentication, database-driven applications, camera-related workflows, and backend integrations while keeping performance and stability as top priorities. Just to clarify a few things: Do you prefer Kotlin with Android Studio and ML Kit, or would you like Java/ZXing? Should the user UID be stored as the Google account UID, or do you have a specific UID format required? Please come to the chat box to discuss more about your project. Best regards Indresh Kushwaha

You need a focused scan-to-save Android app: Google sign-in, camera QR capture, immediate local storage, and a clear history list with no unnecessary steps. For this requirement, I recommend native Kotlin with Google Identity Services, CameraX, ML Kit barcode scanning, and Room over SQLite. That keeps authentication, camera permissions, QR recognition, and local persistence well supported on current Android devices. Each successful scan would save the raw QR value, UTC/local timestamp, authenticated Google UID, and a generated record ID in one local transaction, then show an immediate success state. The history screen would query the local database and allow date sorting. I would structure the project with separate authentication, scanner, storage, and history layers so changing from local storage to a remote API later does not require rewriting the scan flow. The APK handover would include the Android Studio source, build instructions, Firebase/Google sign-in configuration notes, and screenshots or a device test video covering sign-in, scan, save, history, and reinstall behavior. Will the app use your existing Firebase/Google Cloud project, or should the handover include a new project owned by your organization?

Hi, for reliable bin-lid scanning I'd use Google ML Kit barcode scanning with CameraX in Kotlin. It handles angled, scratched and low-contrast QR codes much better than older ZXing setups, and works fully offline. One sign-in detail: the Google Sign-In SDK is deprecated, so I'd use the new Credential Manager, which avoids the login-loop problems older apps hit. Build (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose): - Google sign-in on first open, persisted across sessions - One-tap Scan with auto-detect, a vibration and on-screen "Saved" confirmation, and a duplicate-scan guard - Room (SQLite) storing the raw code, timestamp and user UID - History list sortable by date - Storage behind a repository layer, so switching to Firestore or your API later is a small change (documented in the README) - Signed APK, full source, and a real-device test video Rs 7,500 fixed, APK and source in 3 days. Will the scanners work in areas with poor network (so offline-first matters), and do you want the data uploaded to a server later? Aakaash

A SIMPLE SCAN-AND-SAVE FLOW SHOULD TAKE ONLY A FEW SECONDS, SO GOOGLE LOGIN, QR DETECTION, LOCAL STORAGE, AND HISTORY MUST WORK WITHOUT EXTRA STEPS. I have already worked on a similar project called BinTrack QR Scanner, where I built an Android app with Google Sign-In, ML Kit QR scanning, SQLite storage, user-linked scan records, timestamps, and scan history. I have 4 years of experience and have already developed more than 60 websites. Please open the chat window so that I can share my portfolio and we can proceed further on this project. In addition to your project needs, I'll provide you with clean source code, free bug patches, and maintenance. I am awaiting your positive response. Regards Ritesh N
