Customer Segmentation for AI Consultancy

I already sketched out the bones of my AI consulting business—service tiers, a draft revenue model, and a loose go-to-market outline—but the customer segmentation section is thin. I need a strategist who can take the rough framework I’ve built and turn it into a clear, data-backed map of who we should target first, why they will buy, and how to reach them efficiently. You’ll start with the material I provide: notes on current offerings, early client conversations, and a preliminary model in Notion. From there, combine market research, competitive insight, and your own experience with AI-focused buyers to define the ideal segments and prioritize them. Deliverables (all discrete): • A written segmentation report outlining 3-5 high-value customer groups, including firmographics, key pain points, and buying triggers • A decision matrix that ranks each segment by revenue potential, urgency, and ease of acquisition • Suggested outreach channels and messaging angles tailored to the top segment I’ll use this work to refine the overall business model and guide short-term marketing spend.
