I am building a small-scope, proof-of-concept agentic AI that streamlines brain-tumor patient management for both patients and physicians. The core idea is to take a patient’s molecular report (e.g., IDH1, ATRX, MGMT, TERT, copy-number data) and turn it into two aligned experiences: 1. A patient-facing chat interface that explains each mutation, likely prognosis ranges, and common next-step questions in plain language—no jargon, no scare tactics. 2. A clinician dashboard that surfaces guideline-concordant treatment paths, relevant clinical-trial matches, and literature citations the moment the MDT meets. Key elements I expect you to deliver • An agentic workflow: the model should trigger separate reasoning chains for patient education versus physician decision support while sharing a single underlying knowledge base. • Up-to-date oncology knowledge: PubMed, NCCN, EANO, and [login to view URL] must be queried or embedded so the tool never relies on hallucinated data. • Simple data ingestion: a JSON or HL7-FHIR endpoint where we drop the genomic report and basic demographics, after which your agent populates both front ends automatically. • Privacy and traceability: every recommendation should carry a link back to the paper/guideline line it came from. I am open to the model stack—GPT-4, Claude, or an open-source LLM fine-tuned on COSMIC—so long as you explain why it meets medical-grade safety. A lightweight React (or Streamlit) front end is fine; just keep the code modular so I can hand it to our IT team later. Acceptance criteria • I can upload a de-identified sample report and immediately see the dual views populate without error. • At least three mutations receive plain-English patient explanations under 200 words each. • The physician tab lists one evidence-backed treatment path per mutation plus at least one active clinical trial, all with clickable references. If you have previous work in digital health or oncology NLP, that will help, but show me anything that proves you can chain tools, handle protected health information responsibly, and ship clean code.
