Senior Agronomist for Rajasthan Vegetables

I run a network of vegetable farms across Rajasthan and now need an experienced senior-level agronomist who can take full ownership of our soil health, cropping strategy, and pest management. Your day-to-day work will focus on leafy and root vegetables grown in different agro-climatic zones of the state. You will start by collecting and interpreting soil samples from each plot, translating those numbers into clear nutrient and amendment recommendations. From there, I expect a season-long crop plan that aligns sowing dates, varietal choices, and rotation schedules with local weather patterns. As the season progresses, timely scouting and data-backed advice on pest and disease control must keep losses to a minimum while favouring integrated practices over blanket chemical use. Because the role spans multiple districts, field visits are essential; I’m looking for someone comfortable travelling, speaking with on-ground managers, and adjusting guidance to suit local realities. I work with standard agronomy tools—GPS mapping, SPAD meters, and basic farm-management software—so fluency with these or similar platforms will help you hit the ground running. Deliverables I will review: • A comprehensive soil analysis report for every farm, including nutrient status and corrective actions. • A detailed vegetable cropping calendar with rotation, seed rates, and fertiliser schedules. • An integrated pest and disease management protocol, updated after each field inspection.
