# Freelance Video Editor – Skill Challenge Project ## About the Project We are looking for a highly creative Freelance Video Editor to create one premium-quality video using a provided voice-over/audio. This is a paid freelance opportunity for editors who can transform ideas into engaging visual stories. We are not looking for someone who only knows editing software—we are looking for someone who understands storytelling, pacing, emotion, and audience retention. ## Responsibilities * Edit a high-quality video using the provided audio. * Source and use relevant stock footage, graphics, icons, and animations. * Create clean motion graphics, map animations, and text animations where appropriate. * Add suitable background music and professional sound effects. * Perform color correction and basic audio balancing. * Deliver a polished, engaging, and professional final video. ## What We Are Looking For * Strong storytelling ability. * Excellent sense of pacing and viewer retention. * Clean, modern, and minimal editing style. * Creative use of motion graphics and visual elements. * Ability to simplify complex ideas visually. * Attention to detail and consistency. ## Required Skills * Adobe Premiere Pro * Adobe After Effects * Photoshop or Illustrator (preferred) * Motion Graphics * Sound Design * Color Grading * Typography & Kinetic Text Animation ## Preferred Experience * Experience editing YouTube videos, advertisements, documentaries, or finance/business content. * Strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling and motion design. * Experience using premium stock footage libraries (Envato Elements, Artlist, Storyblocks, etc.) is a plus. ## Deliverables * One fully edited video in Full HD (1920×1080) or 4K. * High-quality exported MP4 (H.264). * Project files may be requested. ## Selection Criteria Candidates will be evaluated on: * Storytelling * Creativity * Visual Quality * Motion Graphics * Audio & Sound Design * Viewer Retention * Overall Professionalism ## How to Apply Please submit: 1.
