Podcast reels fail for one reason more than any other: the clip is chosen for what was said rather than for how it lands without context. A great point in minute 40 that needs the previous ten minutes to make sense is a bad reel. So the selection pass comes first, listening through the episode for the six or seven moments that stand alone, open on a hook line and close on a payoff within 30 to 60 seconds. You would get that list with timecodes before any cutting, so you can veto or swap. The trailer built as curiosity rather than summary: three or four of the sharpest fragments, the question the episode answers stated but not resolved, and a clear call to watch. Reels cut from the multicam with the active speaker framed, light colour correction to match the cameras, audio balanced from your isolated tracks, your lower thirds and fonts applied, captions transcribed and corrected by hand rather than auto-dumped, music and transition effects kept under the conversation. Exports as you specified: 16:9 trailer, 9:16 reels, H.264, and an SRT for each. Cut in Premiere Pro since that is what you use, so the project file is useful to you afterwards.
