We have recently started a Linux CentOS 5 Rackspace Cloud Server to host our Magento eCommerce installation.
We are require a Linux system admin to setup and optimize the server. Specific requirements are:
- Support Magento eCommerce with PHP, mySQL, apache2 (these are installed, but configurations need to be optimized, especially to delivery maximum performance)
- Implement industry standard security for unwanted requests - we will be testing the setup with McAffee Secure, the server must pass with 100% before you are paid.
Although we usually run on apache2, we would like to do some benchmarking of speed tests using the alternative NGINX server. This needs to be setup so we can test it ourselves. If the benchmarking shows that NGINX is not faster, we will need to roll back to apache2.
To bid on this project, you should have extensive experience setting up servers from scratch. Your bid for this product should include the number of hours you expect to spend and the billing rate per hour. Your bid will NOT be accepted without this information.
