Trades Directory

This project requires the creation of a trade directory for the website 1800getatradie.com.au. The current site is a Wordpress website but you don't have to use Wordpress in your implementation though we would prefer it. We only ask that you deliver a directory that integrates into our site. Directory requirements Front end: We need a system that will list trades (eg plumber, electrician, gas fitter) by suburb code (eg 4215, 4216) and display them as a grid (similar to the ones attached for Pink Pages and Home Improvements). The top five listings will pay extra and get greater prominence (eg stronger borders). Information listed in the grid: Name, email address, website, blurb (256 characters from main blurb). When the listing is clicked the full listing will be displayed with the information above, the whole blurb (approx 400 words) and a list of services they provide (Eg plumber, electrician, tiler, etc). We will provide a list of 25 trades we currently support. We will need the ability to add more trades in future. Back end: We need to be able to add our own listings. When we list a new tradesmen we need to be able to enter their details (phone, website, blurb etc) and then tick boxes for which trades they service. Some people will service more than one trade (eg plumber, gas fitter). We will require a post-code box. These fields correspond to the fields that the database will sort by when the website user makes a request. For instance, they are in the post-code 4215 and want plumbers, all plumbers from 4215 will be displayed. Analytics: We need to be able to access figures that show us how often a particular listing is listed on our website (due to search query) and how often that listing is clicked. SEO: The site must be transparent to Google and SEO friendly, with the ability to add SEO friendly meta data and slugs. We hope that some time in the future when someone Google searches for a plumber in the suburb of Southport (post-code 4215) that a listing from our site may appear. Design The design of the directory must be in accord with the website 1800getatradie.com.au. (Image is attached.) Google Adwords We would like contextualized Google Adwords to display at the bottom of each search. For instance, if someone searches for plumbers in Southport then Google Adwords for plumbers in Southport will show on our site. This will allow a secondary source of income for our site. Future growth In future we would like to commission additions to the directory. These include the ability for tradesmen to register online and for clients to email (via a form) a request directly from our site to the tradesman.
