Don, Currently, TDI, is able to create all of your prototype parts using RAPID PROTOTYPE TECHNOLOGY. All parts would be created using resin or abs as a material base. Accuracy is .010 worst case. I'd like to discuss your project with you when you have some time. Below is our standard operating procedure.
TRASER DESIGN INC, TDI, has been turning ideas like yours into reality for years. Our staff of engineers and designers have over 30 combined years of experience in all aspects of design. Bid includes complete 3D concept model w/efiles for exchange development. All work will be done in SolidWorks 2009. Photo renderings, patent documents, manufacturing documents available as well. A typical course of action in a design process for TDI is as follows:
1. TDI places opening BID on project.
2. NDA is signed opening dialog between client and TDI.
3. TDI reviews clients ideas, materials, etc
4. TDI delivers BID/NOBID on project.
5. Client accepts TDI bid.
6. TDI delivers 1 to 3 different concept solutions in 3D format for client to view, make comment, etc. on their own computer. (1 DAY)
7. TDI generates modifications per clients input, files go back and forth until satisfied, usually 2 or 3 times. (3 DAYS)
8. TDI generates initial patent documentation, suggest patent lawyer, client applies for Design, Provisional or Utility patent. (1 DAY)
9. TDI creates prototype (1 WEEK)
10. TDI generates modifications per clients input. (1 DAY)
11. TDI sends files out to qualified established vendors for pre production quotes and any necessary manufacturing modification requirements. (1-2 WEEK)
12. TDI requests pre production prototypes, request quotes for manufacturing, on/offshore. (1-2 WEEK)
Project continues with guidance of TDI into production and delivery / packaging of product
