Black Hills Raptor Center Job Description
Overview: This contractor will assist the Board of Directors with tracking of income and expenses using book keeping software (currently Quickbooks), balancing bank statements, report preparation for Board meetings, filing quarterly state sales tax reports, pulling files for audit work, and generating end of year statements to donors.
Preparation of the IRS 990 is negotiable under separate agreement.
Amount of time: Average of 5 hours per month. A few months closer to 10 hours (specifically the months of donor statements and audit preparation)
Location: at the home of the co-founder initially. Software will be provided to the contractor, and work from your location will be encouraged.
Compensation: $15 per hour. This is an independent contracted position (BHRC will provide you with a 1099 at the end of the year).
You will work closely with one of the co-founders of the group to coordinate the bank deposits, verify filing of receipts, etc. so that BHRC can have a fiscally clean, transparent set of books.
Check writing authority will be limited to the Treasurer, or one of the two co-founders.
