I am an experienced marketing communications specialist based in the UK. Over the course of my career I have written successful press releases that have been taken up by regional radio, TV, super local and industry publications through to national and even international publications. I understand how to find the story - imperative when you want a press release to be published as competition is fierce. From your brief I am not able to tell how many press releases you need written or indeed what industry and type of media these would be targeted. My general way of working would first be to gather background information on the project - what are we promoting to whom and what do we want them to do with this information? I would gather or construct quotes from key spokespeople in your organisation as well as look for industry statistics/reports/expert quotes. These would all then be tied together into the press release. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your needs in more detail, for example are you wanting outlets for submission of the press release to be identified / selling in of the release to be part of the project?
