[url removed, login to view] is trying to complete a
project using the Tek9 shopping cart (we own all the ASP & Access source code) for a client, but there are some unique requirements for functions the shopping
cart needs to perform.
Since our client is a wholesaler, he needed a Tax ID field somewhere in the
"sign-up/register / checkout" process. We added a field for Tax ID, but it
doesn't work properly yet. The way it needs to work is like this:
1) If a customer is from Minnesota (we and our client are located in
Minnesota) and they put their Tax ID number into the shopping cart, then the
tax they are charged is 0.
2) If a website customer does not fill in the tax ID field, then they are
charged sales tax at 6.5% - which they should as this is the Minnesota sales
3) We also need to make sure that once someone fills in the Tax ID line,
that the shopping cart remembers this once they log-in again.
I've attached a screenshot of our shopping cart as it stands now.
We have many other projects in the works so the right person can stay busy with us for a while.
