I need an engineer-designer who can take my concept for a medical-grade breath-sampling mouthpiece and turn it into a production-ready part. The core requirement is a passive, purely mechanical flow restrictor that caps expiratory flow at roughly 100 mL/s so the downstream analyser always receives a stable, repeatable sample. Material and user experience The body should be 3d printed or injection - mouldable plastic; no mixed elastomers unless you recommend a soft over-mould solely for the lip interface. Above all, the final geometry must feel natural between the lips—comfort outweighs cleaning convenience or extreme durability in this application. Performance specifics • Flow restriction: target 100 mL/s ±10 %, unpowered, with typical adult exhalation pressures. • Minimal dead space to avoid sample dilution. • Smooth internal transitions that won’t trap condensate. Regulatory context At this stage I am not locking into ISO or FDA certification pathways, so the shape can prioritise ergonomics and manufacturability without the paperwork overhead.
