I already have a printable 3D file for a wearable chest-armor cosplay, but the back plate needs to be replaced by another one. I have both files. The armor piece will be 3d printed to be wearable, so in the end there should be 2 pieces, back and front, that can be worn together seamlessly —so the armor hugs the body more naturally and matches my reference photos. All reference images will be supplied as soon as we start; use them as the single source of truth for contour, curve depth, and edge alignment. Please work in whichever modeling package you prefer (Blender, ZBrush, Fusion 360—your call) as long as the final deliverable is a clean, watertight STL or OBJ ready for slicing and FDM printing. Keep wall thickness and printability in mind; no paper-thin edges or hidden non-manifold geometry. Before final delivery, I’d like a quick low-res test export so I can print a small scale version and confirm the fit. Once approved, send the final high-resolution file along with any native project files for future tweaks.

Hey — saw your post about cosplay chest armor shape edits for 3D printing. The back plate often causes fit and comfort issues if not shaped right. Is your current file in a format like STL or OBJ, and how precise do you need the shape adjustments to be for wearability? I’ve tweaked wearable armor models before to improve fit without sacrificing printability. Send over the file or a quick sketch, and I’ll take a look.

Hi. To replace the back plate and make the chest armor wear naturally, I’ll reshape both parts around your reference photos, then clean the mesh for watertight FDM-ready export. I can work in Blender or Fusion 360, keep wall thickness consistent, and remove non-manifold issues so the final STL/OBJ slices cleanly. I’ll first send a low-res test version for fit confirmation, then refine the curvature, edge alignment, and seam transition between front and back. As a Senior 3D Artist, I have mastered Blender, mesh cleanup, print-ready modeling, and cosplay prop fabrication and have strong experience in wearable armor modifications, STL repair, and FDM optimization. I am sure I can deliver high-quality results within a short timeline for a project like this. Let’s get in touch and discuss more. Thanks.

Hello, Wearable Chest-Armor Modification I can replace the existing back plate and accurately align it with the front piece so both parts form a comfortable, seamless wearable set. My 3D modeling experience includes mesh modification, reference-based contouring, part alignment, wall-thickness correction, and preparing watertight models for FDM printing. I will use your reference images as the design guide, match the curves and joining edges, and check the finished armor for non-manifold geometry, thin walls, intersections, and slicing issues. I will first provide a low-resolution test STL for a scaled fit print. After your approval, I will deliver the high-resolution STL or OBJ together with the editable native project file. Could you please share both 3D files, the reference images, your body or mannequin measurements, preferred wall thickness, printer build volume, and how you want the front and back sections connected—magnets, straps, clips, or another method? Best regards, Marko
