We building an immersive, browser-based virtual tour with integrated real-time interior design configurator and Webrtc component for a longterm project and were looking for a front-end/3D developer to build the core interactive layer for our tours, with one feature as the top priority: a real-time finish and material switcher inside a 360° panoramic scene. Reference for the effect we want: [login to view URL] The core deliverable: the finish switcher Inside a 360° room scene, the viewer should be able to toggle between real, manufacturer-specific finish options and watch the room update instantly. Surfaces we need to switch independently include: * Cabinets * Countertops * Tile and backsplash * Flooring (LVP) * Carpet * Wall paint The approach we are leaning towards is use KR- Pano 360 web platform with region masking and layered overlays — each switchable surface is its own masked layer that swaps when a selection changes. We need this to look clean (no visible seams) and respond in real time, with a simple, attractive selector UI (swatches/thumbnails grouped by surface). Broader scope (the rest of what we need to deliver) * Load our photorealistic 360° renders into our own browser-based viewer (we currently build on krpano — strong krpano experience is ideal) * Multi-room/multi-scene navigation with hotspots * Responsive: works well on desktop and mobile browsers * Basic engagement analytics (which rooms and finishes a prospect viewed, time spent) * Simple lead-capture hook Lead the build with the switcher and the viewer; analytics can come later, so don't let it slow the core work. Required (non-negotiable) * krpano — hands-on experience building and customizing tours * 3ds Max — proficient with the tool and its rendering/material workflow Please don't apply without both. We'll ask to see work in each. Also important * Solid front-end JavaScript * Real experience with image masking/compositing and layered overlays * Background in 360° virtual tours, real-estate/interior configurators, or archviz (big plus) * An eye for clean, simple UI What we'll provide * Photorealistic 360° renders and the full finish/material image sets (produced by our archviz contractor) * Brand assets and guidance * An existing working demo of the switcher concept for reference * To apply, please include 1. Relevant past work — especially virtual tours, panorama viewers, or product configurators (live links preferred) 2. Your krpano and 3ds Max experience, with examples of each 3. A rough estimate and timeline for the core switcher + viewer 4. Any questions about scope

Hi, I can see the hidden challenge here: the tour must feel seamless while every material change stays believable in real time. I’ve built interactive panorama and configurator experiences, and I’m comfortable with krpano, JavaScript, masking/layered overlays, and 3ds Max workflows for archviz assets. My focus would be the core switcher first: independent masked surfaces for cabinets, countertops, tile/backsplash, flooring, carpet, and wall paint, all tuned to avoid seams and keep the UI clean on desktop and mobile. I’ve shared an initial estimate based on your description, and once we go over a few technical or functional details, I’ll confirm the exact cost and delivery schedule. For the broader viewer, I’d structure the tour so multi-room navigation, hotspots, and future analytics can slot in without rework. Looking forward to your reply so we can finalize the exact plan. Do you already have the 360 scenes segmented by surface, or should I help define the masking/compositing pipeline in krpano? Best regards, Asad

Hi I can build the core interactive layer for your krpano-based 360° virtual tour, with the finish and material switcher as the main focus. I have hands-on experience with krpano customization, XML/JavaScript tour logic, hotspots, multi-scene navigation, layered overlays, image masking, compositing, responsive UI, and 3ds Max material/render workflows. The main technical challenge is making cabinets, countertops, backsplash, flooring, carpet, and wall paint switch independently in real time without visible seams or slow loading. My solution would be to structure each surface as a clean masked overlay layer, preload finish assets intelligently, and connect them to a simple swatch-based selector UI. I can also build the room navigation, mobile-friendly viewer behavior, lead-capture hook, and analytics event structure without letting those secondary features slow down the core switcher. For the 3ds Max side, I understand the importance of consistent render angles, lighting, material passes, and manufacturer-specific finish accuracy so the final viewer looks believable. The final result would be a clean, fast, browser-based configurator that feels polished for prospects and remains flexible for adding more rooms, finishes, and tour features later. Thanks, Hercules

Hi, your "Immersive 3D Virtual Tour Development" project is right in my wheelhouse. I develop modern JavaScript apps end to end — React/Vue/Next on the front and Node/Express on the back, in TypeScript where it helps. Working with php, javascript, css, 3d rendering, 3ds max, 3d modelling, 360-degree video, webrtc, I focus on responsive, fast UIs, clean component structure, and reliable APIs — no page-builder shortcuts. I'll lock down the scope and key flows first, then ship in reviewable increments. Let's hop on a quick chat to align on your requirements? ⭐ 5.0/5 from a recent client: "This was wonderful experience and I also got an addtional choice of updating budget and other features which was not available in the old version of my existing software that I used to perform my d…" Final timeline and cost will be confirmed in chat after a complete understanding and documentation of the project expectations in detail.

Hi, I understand you need a front-end/3D developer for a krpano-based 360° virtual tour with a real-time finish/material switcher using masked layered overlays for cabinets, countertops, tile, flooring, carpet, and wall paint. I have experience with krpano tour customization, JavaScript-driven configurators, 360° scene navigation, hotspot flows, responsive viewer UI, image masking/compositing, and 3ds Max rendering/material workflows for archviz-style interiors. I would build the switcher first with clean swatch groups, seamless overlay swapping, mobile-friendly controls, multi-room navigation, and a structure ready for analytics, lead capture, and future WebRTC features. Q1: How many rooms/scenes and finish options per surface are included in the first milestone? Q2: Are the masked overlay assets already prepared, or should I help define the 3ds Max/rendering export workflow? Q3: Should the initial build be standalone krpano/JS or integrated into an existing web app? Best regards.

Hello, I've reviewed your project and understand you need a high performance krpano based 360° virtual tour system with a real time material switcher for interior finishes including cabinets, flooring, walls, and countertops. I will build the core interaction layer using layered masked surfaces and optimized texture swapping so each material change updates instantly without seams or visual artifacts inside the panoramic environment. The system will be structured for scalability with clean JavaScript architecture, supporting multi scene navigation, hotspot based transitions, and a responsive UI for finish selection optimized for both desktop and mobile performance. I also ensure the workflow aligns with 3ds Max rendered asset pipelines so your photorealistic outputs integrate smoothly into the viewer without rework or quality loss. Also a quick question are your current 360 renders already separated into material specific render passes or will masking and layer extraction need to be built from the base panoramas Best Regards, Muskan

You want a clean, seam free finish switcher inside a 360 room that swaps manufacturer specific materials instantly in the viewer. I have built exactly this pattern before and know where it breaks if masking, lighting, or preload strategy is wrong. The real issue is not swapping images but matching edge antialiasing and perceived lighting so changes read as part of the same photo rather than pasted-on textures. I built a krpano based 360 configurator for a cabinetry client that used layered masks and selective blending to swap finishes across cabinets countertops and floors while keeping perfect seams. Plan 1. Prepare masked layers and export optimized atlases from 3ds Max renders 2. Implement krpano layered overlays with preloading and crossfade blending for seam hiding 3. Build a compact swatch UI with grouped selectors and mobile touch handling 4. Test across desktop and mobile and tune performance Answers 1. Live demo and source examples available on request from the krpano project above 2. krpano customization and 3ds Max material and render workflow are core skills I used on that project 3. Rough estimate for single room switcher plus viewer core 2000 to 3500 USD and about 10 business days 4. Questions Are your renders already split into masked layers per surface and how many scenes and variants per surface do you have Send the demo link and one sample render set and I will produce a short architecture sketch and a prioritized build plan.

Hello, Biggest risk is masking and layered overlays producing visible seams across multiple 360° tiles when switching high-resolution finishes at runtime; addressing that requires tiled alpha masks baked from 3ds Max and a krpano region strategy to avoid reproject artifacts. I have 10+ years building interactive front ends and 3D viewers and have implemented multiple panorama viewers and product configurators for interior and retail clients. I have delivered projects that load photorealistic 360° renders, support multi-room navigation, and provide material/finish switching with per-region image masks and layered overlays in browser environments. I have hands-on krpano experience creating custom plugins and skin controls for region masking and responding to real-time UI changes. My 3ds Max work focuses on producing render-ready equirectangular outputs, alpha mask exports, and material IDs to drive per-region swaps in the viewer. I can provide specific project links on request. I will start by ingesting one representative 360° render set and its material ID masks from 3ds Max, then create krpano layers and region masks for cabinets, countertops, tile, flooring, carpet, and wall paint. The first concrete step is a prototype scene that supports at least three manufacturer finish sets with instant toggles and no reloads, validated at desktop and mobile viewport sizes. - 1. Relevant past work, especially virtual tours, panorama viewers, or product configurators I have multiple production projects with panorama viewers and configurators; I can share live links and a short video demo after an initial message so I do not post URLs publicly here. - 2. Your krpano and 3ds Max experience, with examples of each I have customized krpano plugins, written skin XML controls, implemented region masking and layered overlays, and exported equirectangular renders and per-material alpha masks from 3ds Max for runtime switching. I will provide examples on request. - 3. A rough estimate and timeline for the Core finish switcher prototype with 3 manufacturer sets across five region types: 2.5 to 3.5 weeks, USD 4,000 to 6,000. Full multi-room integration, responsiveness and basic engagement analytics: additional 2 to 3 weeks, USD 3,000 to 5,000. - Would you prefer mobile-first performance tuning or desktop parity as the primary constraint? - Can you provide one representative 360° render plus the 3ds Max material ID or mask exports to begin the prototype? Sincerely, Andrew

Hi there! I've built several krpano tours with layered material switchers before, and I'm curious about the finish image sets you'll provide – are they pre-masked PNGs, or raw renders that need compositing work in 3ds Max before integration? Regardless, given my past experiences, this is definitely something that I feel confident delivering on. Kind Regards, Corné

Hello, there. Your project needs a krpano-based 360° viewer with a real-time finish/material switcher using clean region masking, layered overlays, and a responsive swatch UI that updates cabinets, counters, tile, flooring, carpet, and wall paint independently. I have experience building browser-based 360° tours, interactive configurators, front-end JavaScript interfaces, panorama hotspots, image compositing, and 3ds Max/archviz material workflows. My approach would be to structure the krpano scenes first, prepare masked overlay layers for each switchable surface, wire the selector UI to instant material swaps, then test seams, mobile responsiveness, hotspots, and basic tracking hooks. I understand the priority is the core switcher and viewer, while analytics and lead capture can be layered in after the interactive experience is stable. Let’s communicate further so I can review the demo, finish sets, and scene structure.

Hi, I can help with a real-time 360° finish and material switcher that instantly updates cabinets, countertops, tile/backsplash, flooring, carpet, and wall paint in your browser tour. I’ll start by prototyping the KR-Pano region-masking + layered overlay pipeline for one surface, then extend it to all surfaces with preloaded image sets and seam-clean compositing; I’ll keep checkpoints so you can review the selector UI and performance early. Which KR-pano version and pano render format are you using (plus target desktop/mobile devices)? Do you want swatches driven by manufacturer IDs you already have, or should I map them from your provided finish sets? Happy to discuss next steps and align on a quick core-switcher timeline.
