Spearfishing Handle Frame – CAD Design & CNC Manufacturing File Project Scope Design and develop a custom spearfishing handle frame for CNC milling, based on the reference files, drawings, measurements, photographs and design instructions supplied by the client. The purpose of the project is to convert the supplied design concept/reference material into a properly engineered and manufacture-ready CAD model suitable for CNC machining. The designer is responsible for accurately modelling the required geometry and incorporating all agreed functional features and dimensions. Design Requirements The handle frame should be designed with consideration for: CNC manufacturing requirements. Correct wall thicknesses and material clearances. Accurate hole locations and diameters. Mounting points and fastener locations. Internal and external contours. Recesses, pockets and other required machining features. Appropriate radii/fillets where required for CNC machining. Correct alignment and symmetry of functional components. Compatibility with the dimensions and components specified by the client. Any additional design features specifically discussed between the client and designer. The designer should raise any manufacturing or engineering concerns before making changes that materially alter the client's intended design. No significant design changes are to be made without the client's approval. Deliverables The completed milestone is to include: A fully modelled 3D CAD version of the handle frame. A manufacturing-ready STEP (.STEP/.STP) file suitable for CNC milling. The native/parametric CAD source file used to create the design, where supported by the designer's CAD software. Any necessary supporting CAD files required to manufacture the handle frame. Final design revisions required to bring the model into accordance with the agreed specifications. The final STEP file must represent the actual final approved geometry and must not be a simplified or low-quality conversion of the reference STL. Design Review & Revisions The designer will provide the CAD model for review during development. Reasonable revisions required to correct errors, dimensions or features that do not comply with the agreed design requirements are included within this milestone. Any major changes to the design concept requested by the client after approval of the agreed design scope may be treated as additional work and agreed separately before proceeding. Confidentiality / NDA All information provided by the client is strictly confidential. This includes, but is not limited to: CAD files. STL files. STEP files. Drawings. Measurements. Dimensions. Photographs. Design concepts. Engineering information. Product development information. Prototypes and prototype information. The handle frame design itself. Any other information relating to the client's product or business. The designer must not disclose, copy, distribute, publish, display, sell, license or otherwise provide any of this information to another person or company without the client's prior written permission. The designer must not upload or display the design on a portfolio, website, social media account, CAD marketplace or other public platform without the client's written permission. The designer must not use the design, or substantially reproduce the design, for another customer or for their own commercial purposes. These confidentiality obligations continue after completion or termination of the project. Intellectual Property & Ownership The client retains ownership of all original files, concepts, reference material and intellectual property supplied to the designer. All custom CAD geometry and design work specifically created for this project will belong to the client upon payment of the agreed milestone. The designer agrees not to claim ownership of, commercialise, sell, license or otherwise exploit the completed handle frame design or the resulting CAD files. The designer may use their general CAD modelling knowledge and skills for other projects, but may not reuse the specific geometry, dimensions, design features or files created for this project. The designer must not knowingly incorporate third-party copyrighted or proprietary designs into the handle frame without informing the client and receiving approval. Final Approval The milestone will be considered complete when: The handle frame has been modelled according to the agreed requirements. The final geometry has been reviewed and approved by the client. The final STEP file has been supplied. The agreed native CAD/source file has been supplied where applicable. Any required corrections to bring the design into compliance with the agreed specifications have been completed. The final approved CAD model is intended to be used by the client for CNC manufacturing and further product development.
