I'm looking for a skilled 3D modeler to create a high-detail 3D model of a specific armor set based on an image I will provide. The model is intended to be used as a game asset, so it needs to be optimized for that purpose. Textures are also required. Requirements: - The armor must match the reference image exactly. - It should fit an existing OBJ human male model for easy integration into the game. - PBR textures using a metallic roughness shader. - The armor must be broken into five pieces: chest piece, gloves, boots, pants, and cloak (scarf used as the cloak). - No wear-and-tear effects on textures. - Physics added to hanging cloth pieces if possible. - Designed for compatibility with Baldur's Gate 3 game engine. Ideal Skills and Experience: - Proficient in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya, ZBrush). - Experience in creating high-detail game assets. - Strong texturing skills with PBR workflows. - Attention to detail and ability to replicate provided images accurately. - Familiarity with game asset optimization techniques and physics implementation. Please include samples of previous work, especially any similar armor sets or game assets.

The specific armor set you want, that's the core of this, getting that detail just right, so I will build it out in Blender first, getting the primary forms clean and accurate from your image, then I'll subdivide for sculpting the finer details, the engravings, the wear and tear, also the seams where plates meet. The main pitfall here is polygon count, so I'll keep an eye on topology throughout, making sure it's game-ready from the start, so no messy edge loops to fix later, and I'll be using Substance Painter for the textures, PBR workflows so it looks right in any engine, also creating normal maps to fake that high detail on a lower poly count. Track record on here: 100% on time, 100% on budget, 5.0 across 8 reviews. Do you have a specific polycount target in mind for the final asset, or will I aim for a generally optimized game-ready standard? Send the image reference when ready.

Before we get into the modelling details, which game or project are you planning to use this armor set for? I’m asking because the intended use can influence how I’d approach the topology, optimization, texture resolution, cloth setup, and final integration. I’ve worked on 100+ game assets for a game company, so I understand that a game-ready asset is more than making a high-detail model that looks good in a viewport. The final piece needs to hold up visually while remaining practical for the game pipeline. If you’re open to it, I’d be happy to walk you through relevant examples from our portfolio while we discuss the project. That would also give us a chance to look at your armor reference together and determine the best approach for the five-piece structure, PBR texturing, existing male OBJ fit, and the cloak/cloth physics. Once I know which game this is ultimately being built for, I can give you a much more informed approach to the asset rather than treating it as a generic armor model.
