I’m developing a one-piece insulated lid that can snap onto any can opening between 52 mm and 66 mm. The concept must rely on BPA-free plastic as the main material, use a perimeter silicone gasket for a leak-tight seal, and incorporate a small side loop that accepts a standard carabiner so the lid can hang from a pack when not on the can. My top priority is ease of use: the lid should glide on, lock with a reassuring click, and release just as smoothly—ideally with one-handed operation. A clean, minimalist profile that still insulates well is what I’m after. The part will be made with injection moulding, so the model has to respect draft angles, parting lines, uniform wall thickness, and other DFM fundamentals. I’d also like gate, runner, and ejector suggestions so I can hand your files straight to my mould maker. Please deliver: • 3D CAD (STEP + native format) • 2D manufacturing drawing with tolerances for 52–66 mm fit, gasket groove details, and over-mould notes for the silicone seal • Exploded view or short slide deck that shows assembly and carabiner attachment concept • Basic thermal and fit test report or screenshots proving clearance on the entire 52–66 mm range I’m aiming to move this to tooling within a month, so let me know your estimated milestones for concept, revision, and final files. I’ll be available daily for fast feedback.
