Hi, I’m a Mechanical Engineering student with hands-on experience in CAD design and product development, and I’d love to work on this project. It’s an interesting challenge because it combines mechanical design, material selection, and preparing a product for manufacturing. For this project, I can design the complete spring-loaded party popper to fit the standard 30 mm cardboard tube. I'll create the 3D CAD models for the body, end caps, safety sleeve, and reusable spring mechanism, making sure the design is practical to manufacture and easy to assemble. The prototype files will be ready for 3D printing or rapid cardboard prototyping. Along with the CAD models, I'll prepare the engineering calculations, including spring selection, preload, and load estimates, to help ensure the mechanism performs as intended. I'll also put together a detailed BOM with recommended materials, commercially available components, estimated costs, and supplier suggestions. To make production easier, I'll provide print-ready artwork templates for the cardboard tube so different colour themes can be applied without changing the design. I'll also include assembly drawings showing how the components fit together and how the confetti and streamers are loaded efficiently.
