For your clock, I'd model the full body natively, building in generous fillets, a uniform draft angle sized for a two-part aluminium mould split, and consistent wall thickness across the hour-mark, movement recess, and hanging-slot details rather than adding them on after the fact. Before handoff I'd run my own self-intersection and draft-angle check so the STEP file opens clean in Fusion 360/SolidWorks with no rework needed on your side.
