I am looking for an experienced mechanical design engineer to develop a compact handheld device with a precision clamping and hinge mechanism. Required skills: Strong experience in SolidWorks or Fusion 360. Good knowledge of engineering plastics such as ABS, Polypropylene (PP), Nylon, PEEK, etc., and their properties for injection molding and repeated use. Experience designing hinges, pivot joints, spring mechanisms, and snap-fit features. Understanding of injection molding design guidelines, tolerances, and manufacturability.
