I need to be 100% transparent: For 'fully-parametric 3D mechanical design', the industry standard is SolidWorks (or Inventor/Fusion), not AutoCAD. AutoCAD is primarily a 2D drafting tool, and its 3D parametric capabilities are extremely limited for mechanical parts. Here is what I can offer to make your diploma project highly professional: I will design the fully parametric 3D models in SolidWorks. I will export perfect, logically-layered 2D manufacturing drawings in native AutoCAD (.dwg) format for your workshop. I will provide neutral 3D formats (STEP/IGES) as requested. If your instructor strictly demands a native 3D AutoCAD file with a parametric feature tree, I cannot help. But if they care about proper mechanical DFM, clean 2D DWG shop drawings, and solid STEP files, I can deliver this within 5-6 days. Let me know if you'd like to proceed with this workflow!
