This is inefficient and much gripping force is required for hard frozen ice cream. A much more efficient design would be by use of a "finger stopper-pusher" located at the forefront of the handle and a "palm pusher" located at the rear end of the handle. This way, the full force of a user's hand can be applied pushing the scoop to dig foreword into the ice cream without having to grip hard on the handle.
