I would like to be able to get certification to cut the rails that support the 2nd seat from a 2004 Honda Shadow VT750 - after the 2nd seat has been removed and shorten the 'look' of the bike. The twin rear shock absorbers mount to the frame (it looks like die cast metal in this area) and the rear seat has supports which extend past this point which I'd like to remove by way of a power cutting tool and then refinish to appear stock. It appears there is just two protruding arms that are not structural as there is no cross brace past where I wish to cut them off.
