I'm looking for a skilled developer who can design and implement a graphical user interface (GUI) overlay for omxplayer in Raspberry Pi. We are using raspberry pi omxplayer for playing video files. Needs to overlay images and text on top of that omxplayer. The image needs to be supported jpeg, png and a transparent background. For text, it needs to be like some static text to be displayed and also needs some scrolling functions for that text.

Currently, I'm sending RTMP to nginx on my raspberry pi and using omxplayer to output the RTMP to HDMI, but it's not 100% stable. I'm looking for improvements or alternative ideas

Need a pythons app that can be run on a raspberry pi 3b+. Application when launched will start to play a looping video via omxplayer. At which point a user clicks a MOMENTARY button, then that respective video will start to play. When that button triggered video is complete, the background looping video starts again. There is no need to stop the button videos once started. They can just play through till completion and then the background video will start. There will be 4 total buttons where each button will trigger a unique video. Again, the buttons are momentary, they are not latching so they will only go high/low briefly when the user clicks the button.

It also run it continually, so if there is an internet interruption, it will keep trying to reconnect. We have a working webrtc application that runs on the Raspberry Pi. The chromium browser does not use Hardware acceleration on the Raspberry Pi, so the video does not look great. Video shown in the OMX player is good. The webrtc stream is received in an electron renderer window. The renderer window cannot launch the OMX Player. The main process can launch the OMX Player, but cannot act as a webrtc peer. (There are no node webrtc libraries for ARM ) This goal of this project is to modify our existing code to stream the webrtc video from the renderer window to the main process and play it in the omx player.

We need to overlay text and images on top of the video The text and Images (PNG with transparent background) should be positioned dynamically over the video (setting the x and y position) Furthermore a scrolling text as overlay is needed. I have built a mask out of an old TV with the guts removed, and an LCD panel in place of the old tube screen. I'm sending video from a Raspberry Pi into the LCD. I can get it to play clips with omxplayer, and have rigged up a program to control them with keystrokes. The next step is giving the mask a personality. It needs to loop through the sequence. When one sensor is detected it goes forward and loops, when the other is detected it plays the sequence in reverse and loops. I have a project that is using a Pi and omxplayer to play a specific video file in a public video kiosk of sorts. Up until now I've used a program called Pikeyd to launch omxplayer upon one keypress of a switch connected to gpio, and stop the playback through another switch attached to a separate gpio input. For reason's I won't get in to I can only use one switch moving forward and I need to launch omxplayer when the switch is closed and maintain the playback as long as the switch remains closed. Once the switch is released I need omxplayer to quit and return to the command line, ready to launch from the beginning of the video file again if the switch is again pressed.
