I have some drawings in 2D in Nanocad (you can use Autocad also). The drawings are machines and frames and you have to dimension them for manufacturing. Please have a look to the example. You have to dimension very clearly, not valid send the drawing with the text of the dimension touching or similar. I’m looking to develop a program, run as an add-on to nanoCAD, that would create the line pattern based on a few variable inputs. The floor plan (heated area) is unique for each installation. The spacing distance between parallel wire runs can be considered a constant value for each installation but it will vary from plan to plan. The big problem to solve is to be able to evenly cover the heated area with the wire accounting for curves, arcs and cut-out sections. I have a real object and can take more pictures if needed. I also have some preliminary work done in freecad. I also have some 2D work that was done in Nanocad of the same object because of lack of knowledge on how to do 2D cross-sections in freecad etc... Anyway, I will provide pictures, some measurements etc and you need to be great with FREECAD not AutoCAD. You will need to SCREEN-RECORD all your work, at about 5fps frames-per-second with either ScreenFlick on Mac or for Windows the Free micorosft expression encoder 4 or Hypercam 3 or oCam etc...
