Hi, I have a high ttfb on a virtual windows 2012 Server together with Joomla. It is working well with JIRA and other web projects. Only joomla has a very high ttfb. I made a fresh test joomla installation and on each request, it takes 1.5 seconds ttfb, where it looks like, the server is just waiting. If a joomla user is logged in, it is even worse. I saw other joomla sites which are much faster, so it is possible. I also tried with nginx, but it is also waiting for more than 1 second, doing nothing. When cached, it is fast. But if a joomla user is logged in, the website is per design (joomla) created dynamically. Target is to find the reason for this high ttfb, so it can be fixed. ...fine when deployed on Win2k3 server but when I try to move it to Win2k12 Server with IIS8 the web services do not work. Everything else in the app works fine. One folder in the app, named Services, contains a .asmx file that corresponds to a class file inside the App_Code folder. Another folder, named WFC, contains a .svc file that corresponds to another class file inside the App_Code folder. These web services are used with ajax to make calls to the database to load dropdowns, grids, etc. Since I can setup a new Win2k3 server or even a local development version on Windows 8, I wouldn't think it is a code problem although perhaps may need to be changed. We want to lock down FTP access to IIS8 to a small number of clients who are using dynamic IP addresses. I can write the script which will add the clients IP to our MySQL database but i'm looking for an application that can programmatically check a list of IP addresses against the "Grant IP access" list in IIS 8 and add/remove addresses accordingly without having to manually restart or reboot IIS or the server. I can update the code to add the MySQL database access to provide the list of IP addresses, so you can assume a static/fake list of addresses for the purpose of development. I have some VB.net, PHP and MySQL experience and am happy to help in any way I can, but this is outside my comfort zone and not efficient use of my time to try and learn how to do it.
