I need a bootloader that works with my custom board. The board contains an ATmega32U4RC and does not rely on an external oscillator. But needs to be configured to run on the 8Mhz internal oscillator. I require you to compile a hex file and setup the definition of a file so that this board will appear in the Arduino IDE. I will be using a separate Arduino Nano to Burn the Bootloader. The custom board is connected via the MISO/MOSI/SCK. I have tried this myself, but no luck burning my hex file to the 32u4. I believe I am having an issue with the fuses (low 0xc2, high 0xd8, ext 0xff) and f_cpu 8000000. You will deliver a hex file, the file and the makefile used to generate the hex file.

I made a custom PCB Board based on the Arduino Mega. Like many custom PCB Boards made of arduino, you are required to install their drivers. In addition, the Atmega16U2 shows the name "Arduino Mega" as soon you plug it to any computer (right before installing drivers). I want: 1. Rename the "Arduino Mega" from the Atmega16U2 when I plug it into the specific pc for the first time. 2. Rename the drivers installation files (xlm) to use my company name. We need a bootloader that connects to a server to check for updates. If there is an update it has to download it and program a STM32F4 controller. We would use a module UART - Ethernet.
It's a bootloader like program which stays at the top of the PIC's flash memory. I fill up the external EEPROM in my project and call this function which reprograms the PIC's flash memory (e.g. firmware update). I can write it in mikroC but cannot relocate all the built in routines to the upper memory region.

I have a device with a microcontroller that interfaces to the PC through a FTDI UART (FT232R). The microcontroller has a bootloader function. I am looking for someone to write a VB6 application to communicate to, place in boot mode and send a firmware update to the microcontroller through the FTDI UART. We are looking for an expert at Infineon TC1797 Processor used in automotive field. The pro...factorytool to flash the ECU only with factory signed firmware update over OBD. Also we use a JTAG like tool to flash unsigned/modified firmware. JTAG requires us opening ECU to ground out a pin on processor to set it to debug/boot mode. The factory uses a 1024bit RSA private key to create a 128bit signature for the firmware. Even tho we are ABLE to flash unsigned firmware over OBD/normal bootloader mode, the ecu is not able to finish flashing routine and set appropriate bits due to the fact that our firmware is not signed. I have a clients system OpenSUSE 12.1 that wont boot past the initrd stage. I can boot a usb rescue system and chroot in, that works fine. Have rebuilt the bootloader and initramdisk but it just wont boot. Am at my whit's end so thought i would see if there is an expert out there who can help me out. The errors shown are /proc/cmdline file not found /dev/fd/62 no such file It then looks for /dev/sda3 to boot which it doesn't find and then drops to a prompt.
