I received my Ph.D. and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering. I have conducted research on the design and implementation of power units for electric vehicle power systems and smart-grid technologies during my academic life. My efforts resulted in 18 journal publications, 24 conference proceedings, and 12 projects....I received my Ph.D. and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering. I have conducted research on the design and implementation of power units for electric vehicle power systems and smart-grid technologies during my academic life. My efforts resulted in 18 journal publications, 24 conference proceedings, and 12 projects. Furthermore, I have supervised 1 Ph.D. and 3 MSc students. Most of the projects, I have supervised and participated, in are related to electric vehicles and smart-grid technologies. Also, the projects are mostly experimental-based research. Thus, I have performed hands-on experiences such as electronic circuit and PCB design (especially for power electronic applications), building experimental setups, and programming microcontrollers for industrial and power electronic devices. Some of the research projects that I have been involved in; - Design and implementation of a dc-dc power converter for energy management in fuel-cell/ultracapacitor hybrid power train in electric vehicles, funded by Yildiz Technical University, PI (Applicant), Aug. 2014 – Dec. 2016. - Design and implementation of a double input and bi-directional dc-dc power converter for energy management in battery/ultracapacitor hybrid power train in electric vehicles, funded by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, PI (Applicant), Sep. 2013- March 2016. - Design a smart plug for energy management in smart-grid, Collaborated with VİKO by Panasonic, funded by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Science Industry and Technology (SANTEZ), Researcher (Co-PI) Oct. 2013 – Sep. 2014. Since 2017 I have designed and prototyped many projects for industrial applications. Some of them; - Generic thermostat for thermocouple-based application ( with fuzzy-logic control) - Peristaltic Pump Control Unit (0.01 mL resolution) - Timer; included 3 independent time options for exposition machines. - Controller for textile ironing machine (including hot steam boiler control) - Liquid Level Control Relay (3 models) - PAD Print Machine Control Unit - AC phase control relay - Safety Relay for two-hand control systems - Control unit for hot-transfer-print machines (with fuzzy-logic heat control) - Infrared Textile Dryer control unit (control card and power-electronics layer) - RF remote control unit (with learning protocol) - 3-phase synchronization sensor for high-speed rotating system (specifically for a raising machine) - Humidity sensor for industrial textile dryer machines. Furthermore, I have designed some custom things for custom test and research projects; - Python app for monitoring data from PLC (via MODBUS TCPIP) on an HDMI display. - Arduino UNO-based custom board for teaching coding to kids. Also, I have done mBlock libraries for that board. - Some applications with RP Pico and micropython for tests. - Voltage event recorder with ESP8266 also has IoT feature (thinger.io) - Electrical Energy Meter with ESP32 and SIM800L has an IoT feature (Google Firebase) mindre
