Wisdom of Crowds / Big Data -- 2

Contest Brief

The brief is to create a motion graphic (between 5 - 10 sec) to illustrate the concept that the consolidation and analysis of data within and across a corporation as a whole is far more powerful than individual sub-companies looking at information on a silo'd and individual basis.

This graphic may be an analogy to demonstrate that looking at data on a wider & integrated perspective provides a more visible pattern than looking at information in multiple individual segments. This concept will be applied to a construction business (assume Kier as the subject - www.kier.co.uk) to illustrate the point.

This concept will be presented as part of a Big Data presentation (in PowerPoint) to highlight that information should be collated and analysed on a wider scale to identify patterns and predictive tends. Colour pallette is flexible but may need to be revised in the future to suit the balance of the presentation.

[PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THIS IS FOR A CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS - USE THIS AS A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION IF NEEDED http://www.kier.co.uk/~/media/Files/K/Kier/documents/investor-relation/reports-and-presentaions/capital-markets-day-july-a-2014.PDF)

A larger sample size will allow you to better identify patterns than multiple smaller sample sizes - the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

The point you're trying to get across is that: a larger sample size will allow you to better identify patterns than a smaller sample size, correct?
