Contest Brief

I am publishing an article on abusive pastors and need an illustration of an abusive shepherd.

I am looking for something that alludes to the typical classic image of the shepherd as loving protector, helper, carer, etc. (see attached images) but actually involves the exact opposite. A shepherd who is clearly in it for himself, who beats the sheep, who neglects their care. The sheep could be cowering in fear. The shepherd angry and violent.

I want the image to be striking. Even disturbing. It should evoke emotions of shock and communicate the betrayal of a shepherd turning on his own sheep. It should probably include blood. It should make it's point aggressively and demand consideration.

Any medium is acceptable, but note that I'm looking for an "adult" look, not a cartoon/comic feel. The shepherd should NOT be portrayed as Jesus.

      I'm looking for a real shepherd who doesn't care about the sheep, who neglects them, who abuses them when they bother him, etc. I'm looking for poignant. The sort of thing you'd use to create empathy for the abused.

      Hey! I don't mind what the background is as long as the image makes it's point effectively. It could be a distant/scarce background, blurred, or it could even be taken up almost entirely by the subject.
