I am looking for a skilled freelancer to develop a Temporal Lab Parameter Analysis Tool for Post-Operative Insights. The tool should have the following features:
Project Background
We aim to identify specific patterns and allocate post-operative trajectories by averaging the time courses of lab parameters in relation to surgery dates across a broader patient base. By doing so, we hope to redefine threshold values and enable more individualized therapeutic approaches.
Current Development:
We possess:
- A vast anonymized database with over 200 specific parameters from more than 500 patients. Sample file: "patient details freelancer example.xlsx".
- Test results of various lab parameters at different dates and times. Sample file: "report details freelancer example.xlsx".
However, the raw lab data, relative to each patient's surgery date, was not taken at regular or identical intervals. Furthermore, patient collectives are heterogeneous.
The project's primary goal is to standardize the results of each lab parameter across diverse patients. This involves interpolating values at defined times for each patient and each lab parameter. An illustration of this approach using lactate values can be found in the sample file "Example time calculation.xlsx".
Project Objective:
We're seeking a user-friendly macOS application with the following capabilities:
1. Import or copy data from Excel files, similar to "patient details freelancer example.xlsx" and "report details freelancer example.xlsx".
2. Allow manual column selection.
3. Output "point to point" analysis values for time intervals like -24h, 0, 24h, 48h, 72h, up to 10 days, both:
a. **Graphically**:
i. Via a drop-down menu for selectable lab parameters.
ii. For specific patients.
iii. For selectable patient groups based on specific parameters (e.g., gender, age, underlying diseases; note: in the sample file with only 3 patients, the sole variable of this kind is "DiseaseDissectionTiming").
iv. Display mean values, standard deviations, and possibly perform a statistical significance test for the respective time points.
b. **Tabularly**:
i. Augment the initial file "patient details freelancer example.xlsx" with columns representing results for each parameter and time point, like POC_LAC_24h and so on.
Given the time sensitivity and previous unsuccessful engagements with individual freelancers, I'd like to initiate this project as a contest. Bear in mind, I'm not a programmer; a user-friendly solution is preferred. I'm available for discussions via comments and would like to see project outcomes presented as short videos for commentary or potential live discussions. Before selecting a winner, I must test the application with original data on my computer.
