We would like an easy way to create redirecting URLs with Ning. For example, user enters domain-a.com/abc123 and it redirects them to domain-b.com/def456. We need to be able to specify both URLs. We need to be able to easily add the short links for each new page we create. Long term we will have 1000+ of these short redirect links, so being able to view/edit them clearly/easily is important.
We manage our website using Ning.
We are looking for the easiest solution. You figure it out using the 14 day free trial of Ning and then give us detailed instructions on how to do it for our own website. Be clear and explicit with your instructions. We will award the prize to the first entry to give us satisfactory instructions.

Hi,
Please could you tell me the languages that could be used. I would prefer MySQL, PHP, JavaScript and HTML. and does the server allow URL redirect through .htaccess

What I plan to make is a single user interface where you can copy and paste the URL you need shortening and then a custom url to shorten to. This will be searchable via keywords, shortened URL and the longer URL. hope this is ok.

There are two options for doing this: 1) Use Ning - we do not know if this is practical but we would like it 2) We would set up a custom server for this. We generally prefer Python since we use it a lot. In general we want it to be simple to maintain with as few dependencies as possible.
