See attached contest Brief 4 and Powerpoint called Example Landing Page.. I made some adjustments, so Brief 4 is at the very bottom of the attachments. The PowerPoint example is merely an example of the content of the top of the landing page. Do not try to duplicate the design, only the content. The attached photos can be used in your design, or you can find other photos if you like. We will purchase the stock photos of the winning design when the contest is over.

SUPER IMPORTANT: The design of the homepage/landing page will be based on the "PUNK GRAPHIC DESIGN" style. We sell Punk and other types of alternative clothes, so it is perfect for this. I have attached 10 examples of Punk Graphic Design in the project docs called Design 1 - 10. You can also Google Punk Graphic Art. Check out how they mix photos with elements of graphic art. Look how they use the pink, purple colors. The lettering is really cool like newspaper clipping put together. Make sure the design does not have too many design elements so that the content and navigation are lost. The client has to understand and be able to easily navigate the site easily.

An image that includes 'friends' of all walks of life. Such as a group of friends including a goth, punk, steampunk junkie, rockabilly, bohemian, skater, and your average t-shirt wearing person. This has the benefit of showcasing that we ARE a megastore that caters to everyone with a rebellious streak, and that we are inclusive.

SUPER IMPORTANT UX: The owner of the company is concerned the designs we are seeing are not being laid out using the best most effective principals of UX. Graphically we are seeing some good designs, but his concerned is in UX, as well as the design working in mobile devices. Ultimately, we need a design the is perfect in terms of UX and Mobile Devices as well as computers, but is also visually impacting and incorporates the "Punk Graphic Design" style. I KNOW IT IS A TALL ORDER, BUT IT CAN BE DONE.

IDEA FOR NEW DESIGNS WHO HAVE NOT SUBMITTED: As always the design has to be based on "Punk Graphic Design". One of the problems that most of the designs we are seeing is clearly defining the difference on how to navigate between the two main sections of our website "Freak Showcase" and "Extreme Bazaar". Look at the image in the attachments called Example Split Personality. I think this will give a talented designer on idea of how to illustrate the two sides to our site. Obviously, that image is not Punk, so don't use it. Come up with a Punk concept with a similar idea.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Some prick was submitting false submissions with the intention of discouraging other designers to participate. We have solved the problem. Currently, it says there are 16 submissions, but in ACTUALITY there are only 3 valid submissions, so don't worry there are only 3 competitors so far.

SUPER IMPORTANT: Contestants: Based on the designs we have received so far we have updated the project brief, powerpoint, and have included some example photos. We are looking for wild, extreme, hardcore, interesting, badass. We want to be the wildest fucking store on the internet. PLEASE GO BACK AND READ THE UPDATED DOCS BEFORE DESIGNING SOMETHING. MAKE SURE OUR SITE IS THE MOST INTERESTING ALTERNATIVE SITE ON THE WEB.
