Trading Economics welcomes freelancers from around the world to create a python notebook in our Jupyter server. You will be leveraging our python package to get data and with it display tables, charts, world maps, heat-maps, scatter plots and any other interesting visuals. In this competition there is only one winner but we are likely to invite the top candidates to work further for us
Register for free at http://jupyter.tradingeconomics.com/, a web-based interactive development environment that gets you started very quickly without the need to install any software in your computer
Please check the examples above and consider that you can pick any topic for which we have some data. For example you can do some simple notebook about some economic indicators affecting a country you care about (unemployment rate, inflation, etc). You can cover some global topics (ex COVID), do some forecasting, machine learning, AI, do some trading strategy for exchange rates, stock market indexes, government bond yields and commodities, etc.
Only notebooks created and stored at http://jupyter.tradingeconomics.com/ will be considered
You can submit more than one notebook and we will consider what we think is the best one.
