Contest Brief

I need a super simple set of pictograms illustrating:
Gift
Coffee (in a cup)
Ice cream cone (with 3 scoops)
Slice of layered cake
Flower (no stem and/or leaves)
Newspaper (open, both front and back showing. Not folded/rolled)
Fork-plate-knife

They must be VERY simple with an absolute minimum of details. Child-like simple. Minimalistic.
I'm thinking bold/chubby rather than slim/classy.
BLACK on WHITE, please.
VECTOR format is needed. (For a BIG car and on business cards, so vector format is a must)
Needs to look like a set. Similar style. Not just random mix of googled icons, please :o)

They will end up being next to each other on a straight line, as a kind of repeated border, so they have to be the same hight, but a small difference in width where necessary will be ok, if you find it easier and/or better.
I'd like to see them as black on white, though in the end they'll be black, outlined with white and on red background. It's just easier to compare black on whites.

Unfortunately they're not illustrating what we need, but just to give you a pointer. Or surprise me with something I didn't know I liked even better ;o)

We're in a bit of a hurry, since I naively thought there would be a ready-made set available as stock-photo, which was not the case. But custom made is always better anyway, right? :o)
It is to be used for one of those plastic wraps that covers a car.
Later maybe also on window stickers for the shops, folders, printed adds in local papers and website.
The background color of the car will be bright red and the writing bold black with a white outline to make it stand out and be easier to read. Probably Bold Verdana or Kids or something not-so-fancy.
On the car will also be a black roadmap-like line with dots and names of each of the 5 shops like you would see on a metro- or busline, also outlined with white and on bright red background.
The printer-guy said that vector-format is the preferred file type for both big and small printing.

The shops are different, and focus on different ”core-products” such as ice cream and chocolate, Café, gift shop, flowers, newspapers and magazines, breakfast to-go etc. but the ”ambiance” is more or less the same. It's sort of a ”Granny's Kitchen” kinda feeling with antique furniture, old-school and shabby-chic stuff and simple but quality food and drink.

The lady in some of the pictures is The Big Bad Boss-lady (though I get to call her Mom), who has absolutely no clue when it comes to anything technical, and is in desperate need of my help – and yours!

It's in danish, but I'm sure you'll get the idea.

I changed it to "guaranteed" but I'm a little worried that I won't get many (or any?) entries with such a short deadline, and it's my first time here.
Ask me anything you need to know, if I haven't covered it all.

    There should be an option to either "split the pot" or give "tips" to contestants that did not win, but might have inspired in a small way to the end result. Does anyone of you know if there is an option like that?

      You can choose more than one winner in a contest (multiple winners or multiple designs). You can also buy any design that you like via Invite to Project. Please ask support to more clearly :D

      Additional contest option, which hides artworks of designers so people don't steal eachothers ideas. Good designers feel safe and you get better artworks :)
