Contest Brief

We are looking for a floor plan and design for a contemporary Australian bathroom.

The bathroom as it is now has disability facilities and wheel chair access. We no longer need these and would like to return the bathroom to an able bodied bathroom. The original bathroom had a separate toilet and bathroom as opposed to the disabled bathroom which has been turned into one room. We would like to return the separate toilet and bathroom.

In the bathroom we would like a bathtub (approx. 750mmx1700mm), sink (approx. 500mm d) and a shower (approx. 900mmx900mm) as well as a small amount of storage space for towels, etc and the possibility of a large and/or heated towel rack. We are a family of four; two adults and a boy and a girl who will soon be teenagers so factor that in.

Nothing is set in stone and we would like to see as many possible layouts and designs as possible. Think outside the box, anything is possible at this putting on paper stage and ask questions.

I have included a floor plan, measurements and layout of present bathroom and photos of the original and disabled bathroom.

  I would imagine not that thick. However I unfortunately would not be able to give you an exact measurement in time. Work with an average for now. I hope this helps.
