Konkurrence Instruktioner

The Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR) develops and delivers Anti-terrorism, Navy Security Force fundamentals, Code of Conduct, and Expeditionary Warfare training to achieve maritime interdiction and irregular warfare superiority. We provide specialized training to more than 28,000 students each year across 14 training locations within the U.S. and around the world. Our training breeds confidence. Now we will move forward in creating training that aims towards mastery in Human Performance, planning for the Sailor of 2025.

Fueled by Design Thinking, CENSECFOR has established the Velocity Lab to drive High Velocity Learning. The CENSECFOR Velocity Lab drives innovation in training and education by exploring new learning techniques, conducting experiments, and exploring the art of the possible to provide High Velocity Learning through innovation.

The goal of this challenge is to develop a graphic/badge that represents CENSECFOR’s Velocity Lab and embodies our approach of Build, Measure, Learn: The lab is AGILE! We experiment often (Build), capture actionable metrics (Measure), and evaluate results (Learn) to continue or pivot.

CENSECFOR’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/CENSECFORHQ/

A small version of the graphic will be placed in the top corner of presentation materials and a larger version of the graphic may be placed on the title page of presentations. Graphic will also be used on team items and in materials developed for education, public outreach, internal Navy, public facing communications/success stories, online, etc. Examples of Navy project graphics/badges, can be found in abundance on the internet.

Characteristics of the Velocity Lab and additional context:
- Expand the use of learning-centered technologies, simulators, online gaming, analytics, and other tools as a means to bring in creativity, operational agility, and insight
- A multi-disciplinary team of researcher assistants, data analysts, engineers, visual designers, virtual reality and multi-media specialists who develop, test, and implement advanced education, technology, virtual reality interface and human performance concepts into the high-risk training of CENSECFOR
- Navy’s CENSECFOR’s public web site: http://www.netc.navy.mil/centers/csf/Default.htm
- Navy’s explanation of High Velocity Learning (p. 7) https://www.nwdc.navy.mil/NeXT%20Assets/current/NeXTw2016.aspx

Thank you for the submissions received so far! Very interesting. The words to most focus on from my description would be high velocity, agile, innovation, experimentation, and mastery in human performance. We love reviewing your submissions and will provide feedback quickly! As we like to say... Keep Charging!

Our first crowdsourcing challenge... so thank you for the feedback. I see your point. The name of our CENSECFOR's innovation cell is "Velocity Lab". We'd like a badge/graphic for the name that conveys how we operate... rapidly perform experiments (thus the "Velocity" and "Lab" references) to improve training for Navy sailors in security and naval warfare.

Apologize for any confusion in the write-up, but please put the focus on Velocity Lab. If you can incorporate CENSECFOR, or any function of it like security and/or training, into your submission that's ok, but not a requirement.

Well - That's marvelous, really. It is. Throughout enjoyed reading all that. Marvelous stuff. Now - for those of us who don't speak Government - what would you like us to actually draw for you? Bear in mind over half the people who work through here barely read English: in one sentence, tell us what you want your graphic to convey.
