Contest Brief

I’m refreshing the visual identity for “Dhaka Connect,” a multimedia news and digital content platform, and I need a logo that instantly feels contemporary yet unmistakably linked to Dhaka. The direction is a modern, minimalist combination mark: a clean word-mark paired with a distinctive symbol that can stand on its own for apps, favicons, and social avatars.

Colour-wise, think vibrant and bold—not neon for neon’s sake, but confident tones that hold up on dark mode, video lower-thirds, and printed collateral alike. I’ll rely on your eye for a smart palette that still respects accessibility contrast.

The symbol should weave in subtle cues to Dhaka’s spirit—cultural energy, connectivity, perhaps an abstract nod to the cityscape or digital signal—while avoiding obvious clichés. Simplicity is key; every line must earn its place so the logo scales perfectly from a tiny app icon to a billboard.

Deliverables I’ll need at project hand-off:
• Primary logo (symbol + word-mark) and separate icon-only version
• Full-colour, single-colour, and inverted variants
• Vector source files (AI/SVG) plus high-res PNG and PDF
• Basic usage guide outlining colours (hex, RGB, CMYK) and safe-space
