The contest is to design a highly functional and visually appealing web application which will be an advanced PDF viewer.
The contest is for the design only - coding and implementation of the web app will be a later stage.
The website should allow for users or groups of users to upload and store PDF files. It should then be possible to organize the PDF files by tagging individual pages or a series of pages to represent various categories. Each page may be have multiple tags. It should also be possible to annotate the PDF by graphically clipping a portion of a page and adding a text description.
It should be possible to sort the PDF pages based on the assigned tags or to filter the PDF pages based on one or more tags. It should be possible to open up multiple browser windows simultaneously in order to view the document based on different tags or filters.
Finally, the app should create an annotation summary containing the clippings and text descriptions of the various annotation in the PDF.
In other words, this should be an online PDF viewer with a really nice graphical interface that allows the reader to read a long document and organize the pages within the document easily in multiple ways.
