I’m launching a five-book M/M romance series and want each cover to share a cohesive, minimalist look while still giving every story its own identity. The key visual will be a single, tasteful silhouette that hints at the couple’s connection, paired with clean typography and generous negative space to keep the tone romantic and tender rather than dramatic. The palette should be soft and contemporary—think muted pastels or gentle gradients that read well both in print and as a thumbnail online. Title and author name must remain highly legible at small sizes, so careful font choice and spacing are essential. Deliverables • Five front-cover designs delivered in high-resolution PDF (print-ready) and JPEG/PNG (ebook) • Source files in PSD or AI with all layers intact • A brief style guide summarising colours, fonts, and layout rules so the series stays consistent if future volumes are added Acceptance criteria • Each cover features one clear silhouette image as the focal point • Overall mood reads “romantic and tender” on first glance • Consistent placement of series title, book sub heading & number, and author name across all five covers • Final files meet Amazon KDP and IngramSpark sizing/bleed requirements (exact specs will be provided once we agree on trim size) - No AI Please build the artwork in industry-standard tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator so I can easily update text later if needed. If you’ve worked on minimalist romance or LGBTQ+ titles before, feel free to mention it when you share your sample portfolio—seeing how you handle subtle emotion in a stripped-back design will help me choose the right collaborator. The book names are a play on gay culture words and not the animals. Sub heading on all the books is A Bear Hunt Story. Author name: Elias Keane The Timber Wolf - description - book about a man’s unrequited love for his best friend The Bear Hunt - description - close proximity, trapped in a cabin by a snow storm falling in love Hunting the Silver Fox - description - meeting the family at his mum’s wedding, relationship grows now a couple. But not getting married. Bear Country - fun trip to an all gay edm festival in the woods, found family and friends, camping and finding themselves A Bear’s Winter (to be released in December 2026) - description - meeting the other family, taking in the sisters son. Building a real family and coming to grips with family issues and realizing they cannot being able to help everyone. Please look at my website for more information https://eliaskeane.com

Hi! Thank you for the opportunity and for providing the updated final brief. I've carefully reviewed it and revised my latest submissions #801 and #802 to follow the new specifications as closely as possible, including the required cast, scene progression, series numbering, typography, and thumbnail readability. I'd really appreciate it if you could take a look at both entries and let me know which direction you feel is stronger. If there's anything you'd like adjusted—such as the cast, composition, typography, or any scene details—I'd be happy to refine the chosen direction further based on your feedback. Thank you again for your time and consideration!

Hi All, thank you for your submissions. There are some amazing designs that have been submitted. I am giving you all one final round as there are some fundamental issues with a lot of the submissions. I have uploaded a one page final design brief. Please read it carefully as the final selection will be based on it. To allow enough time for you to update I have extended the competition by three days. Thanks again for your submissions. I look forward to your revisions.
