Hi everybody... I'm looking for a new logo of my name (ERIC HERMAN) for my website. Unlike my old logo (attached), which is circular and has "Eric" on one line and "Herman" below it, this time I would like something horizontal that goes across on one line.

The only specific thing other than being horizontal is that it should probably have the same blue/yellow color scheme that I've used for a long time, and possibly a necktie for the "I" of "ERIC," as in my old logo. I also don't think I would want it to be italic, though I'm open to that. But otherwise, make it creative and cool looking and do not consider the old logo to be a template for the new one. This is for a kids/family music site, so keep that in mind, though I'd rather it look cool and stylish and not "babyish." Also, the background of the website will be black, so you should use that as the background for entries, though it should also work well on its own, without any background. UPDATE: I added the picture of me that will be on the main page along with the logo, as a reference. The logo should ideally be compatible with that picture's style and look.

I'll try to give feedback throughout the contest, and will at least rate every entry. I never rate higher than 4 stars, though, except for the winner (after the contest ends). 3 or 4 stars means an entry is definitely in consideration.

  Ah okay, I didn't know that. That's unfortunate, because I really can't do it the other way. I did not get any kind of notification to your private reply, and I can't check every entry I post a message to for replies. There should be some way to "unsubscribe" to the main board, unless it's a direct reply or comment to something you've posted. I guess what I'll do is post one large message every so often with some general comments about entries, instead of specific things about several entries.

#67 : I like the way the yellow tie hangs over the blue letter. That's cute. I would like something a little more interesting or unique as far as the general lettering, though. It's good as it is, but doesn't really distinguish itself.
