    So, going forward I'll add 4 starts to anything that I want to keep on my shortlist and will use the "Entries with 4 or 5 starts" choice to see my shortlist. This change does not make I like them any more than before, just I am trying to be nice and not rejecting anyone else. Perhaps I'll give 1 start to all I rejected before to keep my engagement rate high at the same time.

    OK. I'm sorry - I did not know your scores and reputation is negatively impacted by any rejections. I simply used that technique to keep a short list under "entries still to be considered". I won't reject any more designs in the future.
    Having said that, complaining about that your CUSTOMER does not like your design is not very professional in my view and will help you in the contest. If you want to complain to your peers, pick a different forum than this Public Clarification Board. Life is unfair, not everyone loves your design, too bad. Yes, you spend hours on your concepts - that is YOUR CHOICE that you are making understanding that hundreds of you try in each contest and only one winner is selected - I'm not asking you to participate. Yes, I am also spending hours checking 300+ designs and unless it is very attractive to me, I spend no more than a couple seconds on each. I am giving detailed feedback to a few designers of the entires I like the most.

      @ balazs1 I understand that it is time consuming to reply to everyone, but I think it is still disrespectful. We spend many hrs thinking up designs and more hrs creating them. When our designs are simply rejected, with no direction as to where we should be aiming, we have to start all over again and come up with a totally new concept. We put in a lot of time and take a gamble that you might like our ideas, so for it to simply be rejected without any acknowledgement of our efforts, is quite disrespectful. We give you hrs of our time, yet you can't find just a few mins to comment.

      Thank you mdmik and crhino for supporting my viewpoint and showing that I'm not the only black sheep.
      If you don't like the designs then instead of rejecting please just don't rate them at all and clearly specify that you won't be rating them as you haven't liked them.
