I need a logo for use in a personal website and on emails, for my work as a freelance cinematographer.

The logo concept should be clean and focused, I have some basic requirements I'd like the design to meet, but am open to suggestions and better interpretations from the designer. The basic design should be composed around "NW Campbell", the first two letters are initials so variations like "N W CAMPBELL" or "N. W. Campbell" would also be acceptable. Designs should try to demonstrate N, W and C are initials.

The logo should also try to incorporate imagery of a lens, aperture, or focus marks (see images). This imagery should be as simple as possible, and ideally incorporated into the text. Designs should avoid imagery of film, film reels or cameras.

The final logo will primarily used on a dark grey background, and preference will be given to designs that read clearly. The logo should feel clean, technical and precise, and emphasis will be given to good choice of sans-serif typography and incorporating the elements into a simple, iconic design.

Hi Konstantina,

I'm sorry to see you go, I've really loved some of the designs you've submitted. Overall I've been in awe of the talent shown by the artists in this competition.

I've tried to be as fair as possible in my judging so far, picking concepts that have new and novel ideas, and favouring original artists wherever I can. I suppose it becomes difficult when a design appears that combines concepts that I've liked from a range of artists, or takes an existing design and develops it in a direction that is exactly where I was hoping it might go.

I've felt that, as the competition has gone on and largely focused in on one style, a lot of the entries are starting to come very close to what I had hoped for. I suppose a side effect of this narrowing field is that there may be some crossover between entries.

Thank you for raising these concerns, and thank you to all the artists who've participated in the competition for their amazing work.

Hello Mr Campbell,

I was very happy to work on your logo from day 1.
This experience became unpleasant, since the contest became about stealing and adjusting ideas..

Adding a shadow on an existing design, does not make it a different design.

Designing a symbol & adding it to variations of the ideas that other people uploaded the day before, is not fairplay.

I shall make clear that the designs of my entries are my ownership (and already uploaded on my online portfolio for that very reason).

So, if in any case you pick one of my entries, I would be happy to make adjustments for you, but for this contest I am not going to post something else in public.
In case you choose a design witch violates my ownership rights, I will have to report it.

I 'm Sorry for this inconvinience but I guess you can understand how self respect works.

  Hi Konstantina! Existing a website which is the first marketplace for graphic design, including logo / web and other design contest. There I am member for 4 year and trust me I know how the works is going... If the contest is not blind, than every participated designer can inspire between each other. From this the things will be heavy...
  
  I feel that I was not making any copy from your designs, but I see what the contest holder like and what don’t. Mr. Campbell has a basic requirements what he want to incorporate to the logo (lens, aperture, or focus marks). I read the brief carefully and I created more than 55 variations. My basic idea originates from the two letters „N” and „W”. This is totally my original artwork. I’m sorry if I hurt you with something.
  
  I think only the Contest Holder has to decide what he like and which one would like to keep for his own logo, and I will have respect for his decision. Best regards
